Abstract:   (108 Views)
Having passed through the encryption and coding period, Persian letters in the form of abstract and immaterial elements are the main element of visual communication in the context of typography and design of written signs. The design of written logos as a visual identifier of an organization, product and brand is of special importance in visual communication and organizational visual identity. Similar to the image sound, letters form the structure of written signs with two” legibility” and “visual’ approaches. Analyzing the visual capacities of Persian letters in cultural written signs of four decades (1971-2011) is the subject of this research. The research method is descriptive-analytical and the collection method is based on the sources of bibliographic and online information. The results of the research showed that the visual ability and personality of Persian letters in written signs is formed based on meaning and content; so that the shape of the letters, like a container for its content, undergoes a structural and form transformations in the shape. In addition to searching for the form aesthetic, they seek to harmonize writing and form with meaning and content. The main feature of Persian script is creative capacity, cohesion, letters connection, followed by which the creation of forms, diverse forms and presence of form similarities in some letters to each other creates creative forms, rhythm and assimilation in the design.
