fa مطالعۀ تطبیقی «پرتره مادر» اثر رامبراند و «پرتره مادر» جیمز ویسلر Comparative Criticism of Portrait of Rembrandt's Mother and Portrait of James Whistler's Mother هنر غرب پژوهشي Research در این پژوهش با بررسی زندگی‌نامۀ هنرمندان و با رویکرد نقد تطبیقی به بررسی دو اثر پرتره از مادر هنرمندان، رامبراند و ویسلر، پرداخته ‌شده‌است. روش جمع‌آوری اطلاعات به‌صورت کتابخانه‌ای بوده تا به سوال پژوهش یعنی تفاوت‌ها و شباهت‌های این دو اثر پاسخ داده شود. از منظر شباهت، هر دو اثر پرتره‌ از مادر هنرمندان هستند و تاکید هر دو نقاش بر سوژه با قرار دادن آن در نقاط طلایی ترکیب‌بندی نمایان است. ولی هر کدام از هنرمندان با توجه به تفاوت نگرش‌شان نسبت به هنر و عصر زندگی‌شان، به روش‌های متفاوتی مادر خویش را ترسیم کرده‌اند. رامبراند به شیوۀ باروک کار کرده‌است و نورپردازی و تکنیک آثارش اشارات تلویحی به روحیات و تفکرات انسان عصر خویش را گوش‌زد می‌کند. ترکیب‌بندی مثلثی، غیرمتقارن و متمرکز بوده و چهره در سمت چپ بالای تابلو قرار گرفته‌است. جهت تابش نور از روبه‌رو مایل به سمت راست است و تاریکی سایر بخش‌های بوم در کنار استفاده از رنگ‌های گرم در چهره و قرمزی روی گونه قابل ‌توجه است. ویسلر، حامی تفکر «هنر برای هنر»، با کشیدن پرترۀ مادرش در قالب یک قاب چیدمان شده، نوع جدیدی از ترکیب‌بندی، رنگ و نور را به نمایش گذاشته‌است. فضاهای خالی و فضای عاری از تزیینات ویکتوریایی، کادرهای هندسی متعدد و رنگ‌های خنثی و خاکستری‌ نشان‌دهندۀ تفاوت قابل توجه این دو اثر با یکدیگر هستند. استفاده از عناصر و نمادهای فرهنگ شرقی و دوری او از سنت‌های ویکتوریایی از ویژگی‌های اثر اوست.   Abstract What will be pursued in this research is a critique of the comparison of the works of portraits of mothers by two artists in two different periods. Dutch Rembrandt van Rijn in the 17th century and American James Whistler in the 19th century. Although both artists' paintings of their mothers belong to a long tradition of portraits of seated women, each of them, considering their different attitudes towards art and the era of their lives, has depicted their mothers in different ways and with different styles, conveys a different feeling to the audience. Rembrandt works in the Baroque style. The lighting and technique of his works hint at the spirits and thoughts of the people of his era. He explores the spiritual life of the people of his era and displays his portraits using the chiaroscuro technique and the adjustment of light and the role of human emotions. He has painted a large number of portraits of his mother and has followed a kind of technical studies in these portraits. On the other hand, James Whistler, who is a supporter of the idea of "art for art's sake", by painting a portrait of his mother in the form of a framed arrangement, displays a new type of composition, color and light that reflects the Eastern culture, especially Japanese, that entered Europe in the 19th century. Whistler's fascination with Eastern culture and his distance from Victorian traditions are clearly visible in the elements and symbols used in the painting "Gray and Black Arrangement No. 1". The placement of the mother as part of the emphasis is a sign of her effectiveness and great role in Whistler's life.
